Antony Batty & Company Ltd, based in Bournemouth, issued the warning amid growing pressure on the industry, which has struggled with a wave of recent closures, financial losses, and rising costs across the UK.
Elaine Wilkins, director at Antony Batty & Company, said: “When surveyed earlier this year, 16 per cent of hospitality businesses – around one in six – believed they were at risk of failure within 12 months, while almost a quarter said they were operating at a loss due to a barrage of rising wages, energy bills, food costs and business rates.
