TULSA, Okla. –
Tulsa residents looking for help managing debt, improving their credit or building savings can get free financial counseling through the city’s Financial Empowerment Center.
The center recently celebrated a milestone after clients collectively reduced their debt by more than $5 million and increased their savings by more than $2 million.
Amber Guipptons, director of the Office of Financial Empowerment and Community Wealth, said about 9,000 people have been helped through the Financial Empowerment Center over the past six years.
