PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Johnnie Coletto was packed up and ready for a renovation. She was going to move out of her house during the project to update her kitchen and bathrooms. She was even going to raise the ceiling in part of her home.
Coletto signed contracts with Holtzman Remodeling and paid two deposits; one for more than $48,000, and another for more than $4,500.
She kept saving up, picked out materials and was finally ready to move forward with the project this summer.
“I’m like, ‘Hey! I’m ready to get started,’” Coletto told On Your Side. “They’re like OK, great. We’re going to submit a permit.”
