Africa’s sports betting sector is growing at a fast pace. Its valuation stood at $1.85 billion in 2024, with forecasts indicating it will top $3.6 billion by 2029, a rise of close to 95 percent.
Roughly 400 million Africans engage in regular betting, and around 100 million of them utilize authorized betting sites. Mobile wagering leads the industry, with 94 percent of bettors using smartphones to place their bets.
