The trend started between Dank Burrito and Ioanni’s restaurant in Morehead City and spread throughout the area.
The fun now also supports a good cause in a big way.
What started as a joke between friends turned into a sensation.
One business owner decided to take advantage of the opportunity to help provide money for local schools.
So far, it has raised more than $18,000 for student lunch debt relief.
Signs of a trend taking over Carteret County and even surrounding areas.
It’s called the ‘sign wars.’
