ELKINS, W.Va (WDTV) – Davis & Elkins College has smashed its fundraising record for the second consecutive year.
The college raised more than $18.5 million within the last year.
A significant portion of those donations are going towards the school’s Creating Home campaign.
The $25 million project’s goal is building a freshman village.
President Chris Wood says the new Glory Residence Hall will be opening debt-free because of these donations.
“They believe in the mission of this institution and they see the lives that are being changed by the students coming here, recognizing what they want to do with their lives, and developing the skills to make them successful,” said Wood.
A dedication ceremony for Glory Residence Hall will be held…
