The National Congress of the Dominican Republic is moving forward with a new regulatory framework for gambling that includes a special discount regime for operators’ outstanding tax obligations. The measure, included in Article 192 of the legislative text recently approved with amendments by the Chamber of Deputies, would benefit companies with overdue taxes and fees accumulated through December 2025.
To access the relief scheme, establishments and platforms would have to be formally regularized and registered with the relevant regulatory authorities.
