Dorchester Poverty Action has recently launched its updated 2026 debt leaflet, which offers advice and can be picked up at many local venues including United Church, Dorchester, Dorford Baptist church, Shire Hall, Town Council Offices, Quiet Space and Citizens Advice.
The group asks: “Do you only make the minimum payment on your credit
card? Do you regularly receive a high number of bank charges? Are you regularly
harassed by people to whom you owe money? Are you regularly kept awake at
night worrying about your debts? If so, it may be time to get some financial advice.”
This year, Dorchester Poverty Action also noted it had helped more people with grants than any year since it was founded more than 25 years ago.
