WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Local foundations, businesses and community leaders have committed more than $3.6 million to a newly created fund designed to help Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools reduce its debt.
The WS/FCS Futures Fund, established by The Winston-Salem Foundation, has collected $3,645,975 in contributions since it was launched Oct. 20. More commitments are expected in the coming weeks, the foundation said.
