Sports betting companies could be banned from paying commissions to VIP account managers, and streaming platforms such as 9Now and 7plus could opt to comply with the same gambling advertising restrictions as free-to-air TV under proposed changes to Labor’s gambling reforms put forward by the Coalition.
High-risk gambling inducements could also be curtailed while rules around advertising during children’s shows currently only in industry codes would be enshrined in legislation.
