HAMDEN — The state budget, signed by Gov. Ned Lamont last month, includes something town officials believe they desperately need — millions of earmarked funds set aside just for Hamden.
Members of Hamden’s legislative delegation to Hartford, who represent the state’s town with the highest debt per capita, procured up to $10 million in bonding, addressing a direct need, as Hamden currently has no bond rating with three separate bond rating agencies because of unaudited budgets dating back to the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
