HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – For Hartford Public High School senior Jada Wilson, a scholarship program is making higher education possible without the burden of student debt.
Wilson is a 4.0 student-athlete, student leader and this year’s prom queen who has never missed a day of high school.
“I’m here every day,” Wilson said. “I have a career goal and to get there, I have to take the steps towards it. I feel like just showing up to school is a part of that.”
Wilson is among more than 100 Hartford Public Schools seniors receiving up to $100,000 in scholarship support through Hartford Promise, the largest award amount in the program’s history.
