A huge research company has fallen into liquidation, with all staff being made redundant. TC BioPharm, founded in 2013, focused on cancer research and was listed on the US Nasdaq exchange until last year.
The Motherwell-based company has now appointed liquidators after a buyer could not be found to save it. It has been confirmed that all 14 staff members have lost their jobs. The company was co-founded by Angela Scott, who played a key role in cloning Dolly the Sheep in 1996. As reported by The Herald, Michael Magnay and Rob Croxen, of Alvarez & Marsal, were appointed administrators of TC BioPharm last year. They have now been made joint liquidators.
