During a single break at work, he accumulated £9,000 in debt – and was even betting as he brushed his teeth. His gambling addiction quickly spiralled out of control and cost him his home, his job – and nearly his marriage. When events such as the World Cup were on, he’d ‘go big’ with his bets – to the tune of £1,000-a-pop.
