A Japanese man, with six million yen (US$38,000) in gambling debts, has gone viral on social media for his “passionate praising service” where he praises people on Japan’s streets. Japanese newspaper Asahi said he is known as “Praising Uncle” and is 43 years old.
In videos that have now gone viral on social media, “Praising Uncle” is seen holding a sign that reads “I will praise you passionately”. For his “praises”, he often gets tips from people who he has praised.
