The Maryville R-II School District received a $300 donation from the Maryville Rotary Club to help eliminate the stress of student lunch debt and highlight the growing community effort to support families facing financial challenges.
Any type of donation helps, no matter the amount. Maryville High School Principal Thom Alvarez said donations have a big impact on students and families who need them. The Maryville R-II School District has between $18,000-19,000 in food service debt, accumulated over several years.
