More than 120,000 Miami-Dade County residents will be cleared of over $200 million in medical debt, thanks to generous donors to the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and coordinated through the national nonprofit Undue Medical Debt.
Qualifying families will be receiving letters from Undue Medical Debt in the mail in two weeks’ time, notifying them that some or all of their medical debt is being erased. There is no application process, as families are being identified automatically based on income to ensure those most burdened are helped.
