A Liberal Senator has floated plans overnight to pay off Government debt by selling off the famous and controversial Jackson Pollock painting Blue Poles to some incredibly wealthy person who can afford it thanks to a low tax rate leaving them with a myriad of disposable income.
Senator Patterson argued that it is inappropriate for the Government to own such an expensive work and that instead it should be sold off to pay back our debt, possibly by selling it to someone who has become inordinately rich running a company that avoids paying tax.
