Russia has introduced new financial incentives for participants in the Ukraine war, with President Vladimir Putin signing a decree that grants debt relief of up to 10 million roubles for newly signed military contracts.
The measure applies to individuals who entered contracts with the defence ministry from May 1, as well as their spouses. The decree is part of a broader set of support policies designed to encourage recruitment.
Alongside the debt cancellation scheme, Moscow has also expanded non-financial incentives for service members, including preferential access to higher education.
