Today, the Fall 2025 Debt Management Strategy Consultations Summary is being published, following the release of the Government of Canada’s 2026–27 Debt Management Strategy.
In September and October 2025, officials from the Department of Finance Canada and the Bank of Canada consulted with government securities distributors, institutional investors and other interested parties on issues related to the design and operation of the Government of Canada’s domestic debt program for 2026–27.
Comments received during these consultations were taken into consideration for the 2026–27 Debt Management Strategy.
