It’s believed the Sydney rap artist who was killed with a samurai sword in the city’s west had racked up gambling debts.
Detectives are treating the death of Jett McKee in Forest Lodge on Friday as a robbery gone wrong.
They said Mr McKee had broken into a couple’s home armed with a replica pistol, knuckle dusters and carrying a balaclava.
That couple, a 28-year-old man and 23-year-old woman, have been charged with his murder.
It’s alleged Mr McKee punched the man in the face before leaving the Forest Lodge home.
