Three years ago my autistic son was groomed on Facebook as soon as he turned 18. He was fooled by some scammers into revealing his bank details on some cock and bull story. In February, they took out three loans in his name from three different payday lenders of varying amounts adding up to nearly 3,000.
My son had no idea what had happened and he hid all the threatening bailiffs letters when he failed to pay these loans back. I only found out by sheer chance in May, by which time the debt had morphed to around 7,000. I instantly took my son to the local police but they said it was a civil matter and could not help.
