South Yorkshire Police in England have put three people under arrest and seized tens of thousands of pounds during a series of coordinated raids on suspected illegal gambling dens in Sheffield and Doncaster.
The raids were part of a complex crackdown on organized crime.
Operation Duxford: Chips, Gambling Machines, and Cash
The enforcement operation, carried out on Wednesday, August 5, under Operation Duxford, involved officers from South Yorkshire Police alongside the UK Gambling Commission, Trading Standards and other partner agencies.
Police confirmed that one suspect was arrested on suspicion of immigration offenses, another for possession of a bladed article, and a third for alleged gambling offenses.
