Gold Coast business Valley Eyewear has collapsed, with its court-ordered liquidators seeking an urgent sale of the business, $600,000 in stock, and optical equipment.
The business, whose sunglasses have been seen on Chris Hemsworth and Margot Robbie, continues to trade ahead of an August 24 deadline for expressions of interest.
Valley Eyewear was founded in 2011 by Michael Crawley and partner Tenielle Crawley — who had worked at surf brands Quiksilver and Roxy, respectively — and business partner Matthew Grippo.
Its fashion-forward designs proved successful, with Valley Eyewear counting more than 100 Australian stockists, dozens more worldwide, and a strong digital presence.
