It’s estimated that 800,000 Ohioans or more have medial debt they struggle to pay. The Health Policy Institute of Ohio said last week that’s about 1 in 7 Ohioans who have a credit report.
Signal Statewide recently reported on a dramatic increase in lawsuits against patients from Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, a small town northwest of Columbus. Many of those patients lacked basic legal representation.
