Lucy says she felt like she had ‘failed’ when her debt started overwhelming her. It was then she knew she had to ask for help

With Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Awareness Month under way in October, some experts are raising the alarm over how banks and benefit systems are failing neurodivergent adults through confusing letters and forms or suddenly overwhelming financial changes that can be difficult for them to navigate without the right support.

Previous research has found that people with ADHD often earn around 25 per cent less and save 50 per cent less than their peers without ADHD. They are also more…

The Australian Financial Security Authority’s intervention in Jon Adgemis’ financial affairs has drawn much attention. The Federal Court orders to enter Adgemis into bankruptcy followed independent actions by AFSA and the Australian Taxation Office. While the headlines focus on personalities, the lesson is broader: effective insolvency regulation is an engine of productivity, economic growth and renewal.

The federal government has put regulation at the centre of its productivity agenda, dedicating part of the Economic Reform Roundtable to it, with a clear challenge: regulate with a growth mindset. That means proportionate, purposeful and outcomes focused regulation, overseen in ways that encourage participation and confidence.

NBA legend Michael Jordan didn’t hold back when asked by reporters if he had a gambling problem.

When considering who is the greatest basketball player of all time, it’s hard not to pick Chicago Bulls legend and NBA great Jordan after his incredible achievements in the sport.

Across his 15 season long career, ‘His Airness’ won six NBA titles, was a five-time MVP, six-time NBA finals MVP and holds a 6-0 record in those MVP finals.

The arrival of 600 Chagossian migrants in west London since July has pushed Hillingdon Council to the brink of financial collapse, officials have warned, amid the fallout from Prime Minister Keir Starmer‘s controversial handover of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius. The Tory-run borough, already struggling in the face of asylum pressures, faces a £2million bill this year alone for emergency housing and support, with leaders pleading for urgent government aid as costs spiral “out of control.”

The influx stems from a landmark October agreement in which the UK ceded sovereignty of the Indian Ocean archipelago—a British overseas territory since 1814—to Mauritius, while securing a 99-year lease on the strategic Diego Garcia military base…

An important update has been issued on the fate of a decades-old employer that made all of its workforce redundant and entered administration.

Manufacturer Dale (Mansfield) Limited, which had operated from its factory off Rotherham Road in New Houghton on the Nottinghamshire-Derbyshire border, appointed administrators in October last year.

All 34 employees of the business, which was established in the early 1970s, were made redundant after the mining equipment-maker failed to find a purchaser or investor who could stave off its collapse.
