MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application opens in October, and a Wisconsin nonprofit wants to make sure borrowers know they don’t have to tackle the student loan process alone.

Once prolific denim retailer Jeanswest has re-launched as an online-only outfit six months after it was plunged into voluntary administration.
Jeanswest began emailing previous subscribers to the retailer’s mailing list last week to advertise a launch sale that would run until September 28.

Families have been left in limbo after a popular National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider focusing on childhood development was placed into liquidation after four decades of operation.
Not-for-profit organisation PlayAbility provides inclusive playgroups, individual support to children and their families, speech pathology, psychology and a mobile toy library in South East NSW.

A new study has identified the UK areas where residents are struggling most with unmanageable debt, with Halton in Cheshire emerging as the most financially stressed location.
The research analysed official government data on insolvency rates, bankruptcies, debt relief orders, individual voluntary arrangements, and breathing space registrations across 84 UK areas to create a comprehensive debt score for each location. According to the study, the national average debt score was 2.78.

Insolvency experts have called on banks and practitioners to align loan agreements and practices with the rescue provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020.
Mr Albert Folorunsho, the Vice President, Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN), made the call at BRIPAN annual conference gala night on Friday in Lagos.
Folorunsho noted that banks were still used to provisions under the old law that allowed appointment of receivers or receiver-managers to sell or manage distressed companies.
He, however, stated that CAMA 2020 introduced administration as a rescue mechanism.
